So What Is Covered?

The Barker Shield Lifetime Warranty is a Powertrain+ Warranty. We say Powertrain+ as it covers more than a standard powertrain warranty you can get elsewhere. It helps protect many of your vehicle’s most important and expensive components, including:

Gasoline / Diesel Engine

Coverage includes:

  • All internal lubricated parts
  • Engine block
  • Cylinder head(s)
  • Exhaust manifold
  • Expansion plugs
  • Harmonic balancer

Rental Transportation Benefit

If your vehicle requires a covered repair, the Barker Shield Lifetime Warranty includes reimbursement for substitute transportation expenses, subject to the terms and limitations of the warranty agreement.

Unlike many warranties that expire after a set number of years or miles, the Barker Shield Lifetime Warranty remains in effect for as long as you own your qualifying vehicle, subject to the terms and conditions of the warranty agreement.

Ok, So What Isn’t Covered?

While the Barker Shield Lifetime Warranty provides extensive protection for many major powertrain components, and more, some routine maintenance items and situations are not covered.

The Barker Shield Lifetime Warranty does not cover:

  • Routine maintenance services
  • Brake pads, brake shoes, rotors, and drums
  • Tires and wheels
  • Batteries
  • Spark plugs and spark plug wires
  • Belts (other than timing belts)
  • Hoses
  • Windshield wiper blades
  • Light bulbs and lighting assemblies
  • Wheel alignments and balancing
  • Clutch components
  • Cosmetic repairs
  • Upholstery, trim, paint, glass, and body panels
  • Damage caused by accidents, abuse, neglect, misuse, or lack of maintenance
  • Damage caused by environmental conditions, flooding, rust, corrosion, or acts of nature
  • Commercial, fleet, racing, snow plow, police, or emergency service use
  • Aftermarket equipment and modifications
